TODDLER 1 SCHEDULE

The following is a general guideline to how your child will spend his/her day. Obviously the child’s needs (diaper changes or bathroom breaks, for example) are taken into consideration.

Open - 7:45 am
Arrival: Children take part in child-initiated or quiet activities while all children wake up and class arrives
7:45 am - 8:00 am
Handwashing and preparing breakfast
8:00 am - 8:30 am
Breakfast
8:30 am - 9:00 am
Handwashing and diaper changes then prepare for outside or large motor room
9:00 am - 9:30 am
Outside/Large Motor
9:30 am - 9:45 am
Transition back into classroom, put any clothing back in cubbies, and go to carpet
9:45 am - 10:00 am
Music and Movement
10:00 am - 10:20 am
Group Time: Teachers bring together class as a large group to go over daily routines, calendar, sharing, featured activity, and literacy-building; T/TH Spanish
10:20 am - 10:30 am
Daily Bible Read-aloud
10:30 am - 10:35 am
Brain Break: Teachers lead children in a song, chant, stretches, yoga, etc. to get wiggles out
10:35 am - 11:25 am
Learning Centers and Small-Group Activities: Children choose from activities in areas such as the arts, dramatic play, writing, library, blocks, manipulatives, math, science and sensory
11:25 am - 11:35 am
Clean up and start diaper changes
11:35 am - 11:45 am
Wash hands, diaper changes, and children help prepare for lunch
11:45 am - 12:15 pm
Lunch
12:15 pm - 12:30 pm
Wash hands and begin laying down for nap
12:30 pm - 2:45 pm
Nap and rest/quiet activity time
2:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Quiet activities while waking up and begin diaper changes and hand washing

Group Time: Teachers and children reflect on the daily Bible read-aloud

Afternoon featured activity: MWF Zumba

Learning Centers or Small-Group Activities: Children select form a variety of activities that are easy to clean up such as books, listening center, and manipulatives
