PRESCHOOL 1 SCHEDULE
The following is a general guideline to how your child will spend his/her day. Obviously the child’s needs (diaper changes or bathroom breaks, for example) are taken into consideration.

Open - 7:45 am
Arrival: Children take part in child-initiated or quiet activities while all children wake up and class arrives
7:45 am - 8:00 am
Handwashing and preparing breakfast
8:00 am - 8:30 am

Handwashing and bathroom break
8:45 am - 9:05 am
Group Time: Teachers bring together class as a large group to go over daily routines, calendar, sharing, featured activity, and literacy-building; T/TH Spanish
9:05 am - 9:15 am
Daily Bible Read-aloud
9:15 am - 9:20 am
Brain Break: Teachers lead children in a song, chant, stretches, yoga, etc. to get wiggles out
9:20 am - 10:05 am
Learning Centers and Small-Group Activities: Children choose from activities in areas such as those listed in the handbook
10:05 am - 10:15 am
Prepare for Outside/Large Motor and Bathroom Break

Transition back into classroom, put any clothing back in cubbies, bathroom break, and go to carpet

Large Group: Teacher read-aloud and sharing

Wash hands and children help prepare for lunch
